What is geogrid?
Geogrid is a major geosynthetic material with unique properties and efficacy compared to other geosynthetics. It is commonly used as reinforcement for reinforced soil structures or as reinforcement for composite materials, etc. Geogrids are divided into four categories: plastic geogrids, steel-plastic geogrids, glass fibre geogrids and polyester warp-knitted polyester geogrids. Geogrids are two-dimensional grids or three-dimensional grid screens with a certain height made of polypropylene, PVC and other polymers by thermoplastic or moulding, and are called geogrids when used as civil engineering. Classification Plastic A square or rectangular polymer mesh formed by stretching, which can be unidirectional or bidirectional depending on the direction of stretching during manufacture. It is made by punching holes in extruded polymer sheets (mostly made of polypropylene or HDPE) and then applying directional stretching under heated conditions. The unidirectional stretching is made
